Who's behind it

I'm Cris Bergerhofer, founder of CruiseMatch. I'm an avid cruiser: I've sailed over a dozen cruises on Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Virgin Voyages, with Celebrity booked for March 2027.

I combine that firsthand experience with a background in technology and AI to make choosing a cruise more personal, more transparent, and a lot less overwhelming. Every cruise line markets itself as the best, but the right cruise depends on who you are and how you like to travel. CruiseMatch exists to find that fit.

How CruiseMatch works

You answer a few questions about how you like to travel. CruiseMatch compares cruise lines and ships against what you told us, explains why each match fits (and the trade-off to know about), and shows what the cruise will really cost, line by line. Then a real person, me, checks the recommendations, confirms exact prices with the cruise line, and handles the booking with you.

How we're paid

CruiseMatch is free to use. When you book, we earn a commission from the cruise line, which doesn't change your price. Commissions play no part in our matching: the engine can't see them. Cruise lines can't pay to be recommended or ranked higher.

Our standards

• Prices are estimates until confirmed with the cruise line, and anything we can't price is shown as unpriced, never as $0.
• Guides are researched with AI assistance, checked against the cruise lines' published information, and reviewed by me before they go up.
• Our videos use an AI-generated presenter; the scripts, research and recommendations are ours.
